Vertical Cutter
NiChrome Wire
26 gauge - Approximately 12-16”
Please reference the forward mount spring assembly and the hanger bolt assembly for more information.
Table is built 18” x 24”, with the long leg being its frontside width
Foot support underneath are two 2x4’s at 24” long, and laid flat, screwed with any type of wood or construction screw.
Cutting arm is a simple design using hardware store PVC products
Choose a small but sturdy diameter
1/2” is seen here but you may use 3/4”
An elbow required at the top, and a T-shaped coupler at the bottom
This T-shape will help provide stability when two screws are used for attachment. This could always be substituted with a single screw to allow rotation for 45° angles and such

Vertical Table Top Hot Wire Foam Cutter
This design is meant to be small, portable, and for those with limited hobby space.
Creating one of these tables should not be a hard task and is meant to be tackled by those with a little building / carpentry experience
If you wish to create a large scale foam cutter, you should be able to take the basic concepts from this design and extrapolate to a larger scale. In particular the electrical components.
